Chassis looked pretty good,
I thought that, especially the rear crossmember in that photo of the drop plate removed. Assume the OP doesn't want to faff with more patching of nasties we haven't seen plus evidently has a new glav one.
 
I did manage to get a replacement block for my rotted out one, courtesy of a mate who stang me for 50 quid. ( if you read this Sam it is appreciated really). Will need a little ream due to cylinder wear. But all in all it is in much better condition than my old one. Let hope the Gods favour me and I can reuse my old pistons when I rebuild. I have an unleaded head, as well as the original. Thought ahead and even purchased some waterless coolant to avoid reoccurrence.
