Have a problem, I think it is my ignition switch. Trying to start, just get a faint click and after a few attempts she'll crank and fire up.
First thought is the starter solenoid or starter motor but, if I move the key very carefully, I can often catch it at one exact point where the starter will catch. Tends me to think I have got some worn contacts in the switch itself.
Has anyone come across this before and does anyone know if it is possible to get the ignition switch itself as opposed to having to change the whole set up, keys and all?

Not sure on the 2 but mine plays up as well but mine is the yet wont turn till in a certain postion

I would check with a multimeter to see if there's any inconsistency of the contacts before you replace it and find it's the starter motor solenoid :)

had very similar symptoms over the past few weeks on turning the key I can hear a relay clicking went out this morning and it would not turn over at all went back in house to get a tester for the battery came back out tried it again and it started turned it of and tried it again took about 5 go's to get it to turn over the battery was ok so the next thing I tried was the earths there is 3 10mm bolts on the left hand side at the back of the battery I took them of and cleaned them so far I have been out about 6 times and it has started first time every time. will let you know how I get on

Tried cleaning up the earths and eventually got underneath and jumped the +ve direct onto the lucar connector. Same click so it must be the solenoid. I've ordered a solenoid repair kit. Should solve the problem.
