Hi guys, quite new to this hobby hoping for advise. Just done first towing job in L322 somehow caused suspension to creak like hell, called at garage, injected lube into various rubber booted joints, stopped creaking. Drove away 500yds from home low coolant level, puled up drive split hose. Got up at 6 this morning, replaced hose to find ignition key wont turn, checked battery voltage, 8 volts, hope this is the reason for key failure. Gotta go to work now, do I just need jump leads after work or is it possibly more serious. Any advise appreciated.
Thanks Ken.

Careful how you jump it, do it by the book, they do not like being jumped, better to disconnect the battery off and charge it.

+1 100%,ps keith did you get them big black smelly things fitted:D
Not yet Will, being a tight bugger there are a few more local miles in the old ones, I'll get the new ones fitted either before the next long trip or when I fit the 16" winter wheels off the spares dog, they are pretty crappy but good for the snow and local stuff. If they had been in good nick I would have used them instead of buying new 18" tyres:)

Concur on the Battery being the issue...and +1 to Keith - Rangies hate being jumped!

Thanks for replys will remove battery and charge overnight then have another go tomorrow, hopefully get this one fixed then wait for the next one. Me thinks I may have bitten off more than I can chew because I do not use it a lot but when I need it, I need it. Nowt else I own can tow 3.3 ton.
Thanks again Ken.

If that is the case get a trickle charger...Range Rovers hate weak batteries

Yea but that only fixes one easy problem, todays new problem is a clunking when releasing the foot brake which is exaggerated when towing. Seems to be drive train related.

Suspension bushes, UJ's etc. These cars are meant to look pretty on the garage forecourt, they are not meant to be used:rolleyes:
