The ignition barrel has stopped flicking from the 'crank' position to the running position meaning I have to turn it back a little once the engine has started to stop the starter motor.

Have tried some lube down the barrel but it seems to be a spring somewhere that's gone.

Been looking for some diagrams online but nothing found. Any ideas on a fix?

When my barrel started to stick, it was remedied for awhile by rubbing the edges of the key with a graphite pencil and then inserting it into the mechanism a few times to to get the lube into it. It helped for a few months and then I had to take the barrel out.

It's the electrical block on the back of the barrel. Needs replacing.

Does anyone know the part number for a 300tdi 1994?

The wires on the back of the switch are individually connected rather than have a wiring loom. I was thinking the PRC2735 looks the same as mine, but does it work on a 300tdi?

This could well be the original barrel from the 1985 build before the engine swap.
