I'd buy an Australian Army Perentie Land Rover, everything you needed to do to an English one is already done.

A lot of talk of 300tdis

I like 300s too, but, if we're talking someone elses money, surely it would be the International HS 2.8?

As for buy or make - what id want to buy isnt available any more, so it would have to be make. But i guess id pay someone else when it was raining...

...or id buy a nice garage. Probably that.

I'd have a 130 + 6*6 defender based camper with all steel galvanised, a pop up top to give full head room when parked up. The 300tdi based 2.8tgv motor fitted, overdrive and winches of course. Lots of insulation as well.

for me it would have to be a creation all of my own.
Think bowler wild cat but with a double cab as I'd still have school runs etc and couldn't cope with just 2 seats. Having 4 in the 90 isn't enough sometimes
