The FL2 I borrowed for bit was good at motorways. 6 speed box very comfy and when you get out the other side your not crippled like in a fender

Haldex diff for sure. Make sure its been serviced, my father in law paid out £1k on his recently. On test check for dmf issues which will be vibration at certain speeds. Make sure it hasnt been in a flood also, if so thats my brother in laws one.....

How can yer say this lacks charm

It was leather spec interior and could chew through motorway miles, very easy to park, but nothing making me want to go out in it again..no pazzaz...no x-factor....no soul perhaps

I had one mostly trouble free, 125,000 dmf started making a noise, rear diffs / haldex unit can fail but also the gearbox to ptu splines can fail, happened to me and it then becomes front wheel drive only, won’t do any damage but inconvenient if I’m snow or wet grass etc.

you can hardly call that off roading 1/2'' of mud isn't even a challenge, a 2 wheel drive could drive that drive way
Yer but no but to get there the track was too steep fer most tratters so they had to change the fixed route of the course to a different way round as the queue waiting was too long. ;)

Make sure everything works and check underneath for corrosion. One I looked at still had half a small field attached to the underside.
After that I had a professional inspection done, they're a tad more complex than my old Series 2A!
