Hi Are these seats standard on a series 3 as I ordered the deluxe exmoor trim seats and they don't look like they fit at all.

No, they look like 90/110 or defender frames. Series seats are a lot more simple.

The base just drops between two rails, and the back is bolted to two uprights from the rails.

If you can get them to fit, they will be an improvement on the originals, unless, of course you are after originality.

Deluxe seats are higher backed than standard, but the frame you have looks like early 90/110 or defender seat frames, but you are missing the head rest. You can either get the correct frames to fit the original deluxe seats, or you can get foams and covers to restore the frames you have, although you would still be missing the head rest. Exmoor trim also do retrim kits for the seats you have: LINK

I have a mix of de-lux (for me) and std seats in my series. Took the covers off to sort them out and none look like that. As above the Series seats are much simpler and the "de-lux" shape comes from the foam. I got some Rover head rests off e-bay and modified the std seats so they fitted, just used heavy duty "p" clips fixed to the seat back.
