Hiya guy's, been thinking for a long time now on what to do with the load area of my defender 90 hard top. Needing something to deal with daily abuse (muddy wellies, boots, tool bags and a muddy collie) but also looks quite nice when cleaned as it's an everyday runner.

Was thinking chequered plating but I don't think the dog would agree with me . Anyone out there got any pictures on what can be done?

Cheers in advance,

Alex

Don't know if it's sold in the UK, but in the USA they have a spray on bed liner. I remember Mythbusters testing it as a bullet proofing. It looked to be good stuff.

Oh awesome, I'll have a look and see why I can find out. Hopefully will have something done in the weeks to come and I'll upload the results on here 😂😁

Anything where you can't find a price on the internet generally means it's expensive.
Let us know if you do find anything more out it does look good.

There is always the laminated sheets with a sand paper type finish. It's generally used in the back of load areas as it's none slip. Can't remember the name but around 100 squid for a 8 ft sheet.

Looks quite good to be fair. Will have a proper look into. Thanks for the help buddy.

There was an article about this stuff in LRO, along with the guy who is the UK distributor. He had his 110 load area covered in it and it looked smart.

I have fitted mine out with 10mm stable wall matting. Easy to remove and clean, and also works really well as soundproofing.

I reckon some sort of rubber matting would work well- cut it to size yourself and fix with spray glue. I carpeted the rear of my CSW this way. I'd like to try using wooden boards like old American pickups used :)
