Gents - I am looking for some assistance from folks who have experience with the classic Range Rovers. The shocks and springs on my 92 V8 classic are of considerable age and it is time for to me to invest in a new set of springs and shocks coupled with the complete suspension bushings and ball joints kit. I have been reading a lot on the brand options to lift the truck 1.5 - 2 inches to accommodate 265 75 16 or 275 75 16 size tires, but seeking some guidance as not 100% sure which brand option would provide the best on road manners coupled with the overall cost outlay on this project.
Here in the US, the only brand being recommended is Old Man Emu, and I am interested in learning more about the options in the UK as I plan to order my parts from a British distributor.
Curious to hear of recommendations from fellow forum members. Please also advise if the doing the lift would warrant use of a) correction radius arms, b) double cardon front driveshaft and finally if this project would also require me to swap out the wheels to fit the larger tires. The current wheels are OEM Land Rover Part# ANR 1689 7J X 16 X 33.
Many thanks in advance for your help with this.
