Fook me i paniced abit there, guys got the same name as me father in law and i thought the wife's inheritence was alreayd spent

so with the same tyres on your rr the driver would have done a better job then?

probably not

if you put propper tyres on the l322 it would make an good off roader imo.
but mine dont cost £50k and mine dont have tc and electrickery gadgets
so why dont you see any l322 with "propper" tyres on offroading?

In today's money it probably did when it was new

The fact that you don't physically see many with proper tyres off road doesn't mean they don't exist mate

I reckon the L322 would be good off road with a decent set of tyres. Not a direct comparison I know but took a Disco3 out a while ago on standard (and worn) tyres and I was very surprised at how effortlessly it went over things, including mud.

when yours was new its more than likely it didnt go off roading either. imo once prices start to come down and the L322 becomes more affordable then i recon you will see quite a few.

main reason classics, discos etc are so common now is they are so cheap to buy/maintain thanks to age & depreciation.

already starting to see quite a few D2s going that route so only a matter of time ;)
