No snow yet ! Both of my landys are of the road at the moment and I'm sure the ranger won't be much use :/

Lovely sunny day now - not as much snow as I had hoped for. :(

But enough to make it 'interesting'.

It's started to snow again so I'm off to have fun. :D

Hopefully a pic or two later today.

Definitely not as much snow as I was looking forward too. :(

Still, it's more fun than just the track through the forest as it usually is. ;)

:bump:

Well I can't believe that I'm the only one who found some snow today and took a pic of the FL in it.

Not very much snow admittedly near me, but I'm disappointed there are no more dramatic pics from elsewhere in the UK. :(

More snow is forecast for tomorrow. :D

Get out there and enjoy it - and take some pics.

No snow here yet SV, but I fixed the last of my mechanical niggles today so I'm ready for some winter lanes :).

In fact what I want to do more than anything else is take my girlfrind and a big flask of coffee (or hot choc) and go and drive through deserted snow covered country lanes. Hopefully this will be a nice gentle intro to 4x4 adventuring for her, so she's happy to come along later :).

Sounds idyllic. ;)

Good luck with the weather.

I don't think she'd want to come along again if I started her off in Sibbertoft quarry! Hell, my neck nearly split with acheing the next day first time I went oft road with DD!

She's just about starting to trust the car, it's been hard for her to learn to like it with all the problems I've had, though she's only ever been a passenger. But I think she's coming around to the idea that it's now a reliable motor :).

We've now had snow every day for the last 5 days.

Around 4" in total although only 1/2" last night.

This is why we have Freelanders ;)

Get some more pics up folks.

Hi Max and :welcome2:

Whereabouts are you in Deutschland?
Bavaria?

Singvogel.

Yes, you´re right. Bavaria, near lake Chiemsee. So its not totally in the alps, but you´re pretty near.

What about your name? It´s a german word!

Regards,Max

My name? A German word? Natürlich - alles gut ist Deutsch.

I know Chiemsee very well.

We use the A8 frequently as we travel from Schottland to and from the Balkans 3 or 4 times a year- and have done for the last 20+ years.

We often visit Kirchanschöring (Meindl Fabrikladen) which is not too far away from the Chiemsee.

We've also stayed at some lovely camp sites around Waginger See in the summer.

But we've travelled that Autobahn to Salzburg in some horrendous winter weather too. When it snows in Freistaat Bayern it really snows. ;)

Now, now, Mr Hammer (fancy naming a Norse God after a soft-faced mallet) :p

All you do with any German word that ends in ....ich is take of the ....ich and replace it with ....ly. End of lesson.

How are things in the 'Land of the Midnight Sun'? That's Shetland isn't it?
