Why don't LR sell them any more in the UK?

Are they just too thirsty or do they have some bigger issues?
(int that a magazine?)

Diesel Freelander 2 is good on power and economy which beats the thrust of the i6. The i6 has more power but the SD4 has been out for a number of years which has more power than the normal FL2 T4d. Hence not many i6 sold in the UK so I think it was dropped ere.

The I6 isn't really any faster than the SD4 and much worse on fuel. Hence very few were sold.

SD4 option wasn't available until 2010. I can see why they offered the i6 at the start but I think LR have given up on petrol's in the UK. Only the supercharged versions available now for bigger LR products. Diesels have improved massively over the years.

Interesting - so, would it be possible to add a supercharger later? Or are we talking new gearbox etc.

Supercharger is only on the RR and RRS. FL2 never had them. You would be betterer buying the SD4 if you need the extra power over the FL2 Td4. SD4 is auto only.

They're bringing in the Si4 engine into the Evoque and Disco Sport next year, 4 pot turbo, 240bhp, better than the I6 and better on fuel, although doesn't sound as good!

Well, I always like to have stoopid ideas about stuff I'm never going to do, like fitting a PG1 box to my V6.
(It's not necessarily the idea that's stoopid, just the thought of me actually doing it)

PG1 box on a V6 Freelander is still on my to do list.
