Yup, Turbo Direct Injection (Or is it Turbo Desiel Injection? Can't remember now :eek:) is copyrighted by VW. However they could not copyright the initals "TDI".

Umm... That's the whole point it's unscrewable (you can unscrew it)!! As apposed to an inscrewable lid (one which won't undo) - but yeh, big hammer works too!
 
To get back to the original discussion and just to pretend I'm proud of having a 19j engine...;)

Tdi, according to Land Rover, was Turbo Diesel Injection till VW copyrighted that for themselves (them thieving Germans) so Land Rover claimed it to be Turbo Diesel Intercooled instead...

That could be bollocks, but who cares...
