Do they not have car breakers in Frogland ?

Décasseurs de voitures, parc à ferraille ?
Yep but they all sell bits for left hand drive cars.
The dipped beam might not pass the MOT in the UK.
Yep, it took me a little while to suss that out.
I am still wondering if I could get one and doctor it.
But yes they do hence I posted the price of 78 minimum. :(

I think the silver reflector is different, can you not super glue the broken bit back on ? Or use your plastic gun ?
These are all possibilities although my new gun uses heat to fit metal "stitches" or staples into plastic bits.
TBH I can't know until I have got the blasted bit off.
I have been waiting for the CitroenC3ownersclub to get back to me. Only one bloke has, he didn't know and just assumed it'd be like the ornery C3, which it ain't as I can tell by looking at pics of the bits once off, on Frog breakers sites.
Once I've got the bit off I'll put pics up.

This is all very well but peeps like us who have to have our passports stamped to prove we haven't overstayed our long-stay visas., will still have to get it done. TBH, at the moment it is still quite quick, but then we don't use airports nor the main terminals of the Chunnel or the cross channel ferries at Calais.

Afternoon folks :).

Went out for food last night as we couldnt decide what to make for tea.
Bad news is our little eatery has been sold and maynot be open this year😢. But we have found another (new place) its a bit further away 30-40mins, so we tried it. They still have to finish the landscaping so the seaview doesnt have builders rubbish in the view;).
Now its not often I decide to have steak here but I had a fillet and it was a 👍👍, starters were great too. So I guess we will go back again:).
Good beef steak is hard to get here so those that serve it usually charge a UK type price, but for about £18 I was well happy, and it was actually cooked to how I asked👍.

Apart from that its a lazy sunny sunday here:).

So why is good steak hard to get? If you don't mind my asking?

So, hot and dry today.
We have just got back from going down to the centre of the village where they have had their own "vide grenier". Nowt we wanted to buy, except plants, of which there were a lot on sale. So W had to buy 6 of course!
Enjoy the rest of the arvo peeps! :):):)

With modern lights its difficult to tell. I have a set of LHD headlights for the Beast sitting on the workbench and cant see much difference to whats in the car(RHD) at the moment.
I am guessing (from a bit of goggle) you have a clear front on the light, which says to me its all in the reflector and bulb position/rotation.

If its the bit that holds the spring clip that holds the bulb (sounds like)? could you not bond on a bit of "something" to the back to make a new 1 that would hold the bulb?

Of course its always the half a day to get it out to just have a look that these fancy modern cars give us .

This is exactly what I intend to do. I am thinking of two pack adhesive, or filler with fibreglass in it. It doesn't have to look pretty it just has to do the job.
The real pain is that there is a two legged shade sitting inside the reflector, one leg of which, (all in metal), also holds the fulcrum of the clip. This whole thing was held in the reflector by two tiny bits of what looks like araldite, and this from the manufacturer.
The shade is obviously necessary to make it the dipped beam as well, maybe, as orientation, etc, as you say.
The other leg is still holding it roughly in place.
If I can mount some sort of clip holding device elsewhere on the light, modifying the clip as and when necessary, then I can ignore the shade part completely.

Typical that this is the ONLY thing on the car that a replacement from Frogland may not work for.
I''ll also check the MOT regs to see if a Frog one, with the beam angled lower, would pass. It has 4 positions, changed from within the cab but there is also a manual means of adjustment.
I am hoping the beam is flat, if it has a kick up, on the wrong side in either case, that'd mess up that idea.
Whatever happens it is going to be fiddly. :(:(:(

We dont know TBH.
But they dont really seem to make it a staple on the menu. Pigs/Chickens are easier to keep ;). They dont seem to keep "meat" cows, some dairy cows are around.
Lamb is not cheap either for some reason I dont understand as there is a load of sheep around:vb-confused2:.
Which is why we go and pick a lamb for the frezzer;)

But to get a good bit at an eatery is always expensive here(relative to other meats).

But When I or M want a good steak we know where to go. The Fish resturant in the big town do a mean steak and now the new place:).

W doesn't really eat steak but I do, and what amazes us is that over here, nearly every steak you get in a restaurant, even quite a cheap cut, is always OK, but buying decent steaks in shops is a nightmare. Even our normal butcher, who is brill for everything else, we once had a steak from him and it wasn't good. So now i buy Tournedos from Leclerc and that is OK.

I think part of it is that restaurants tend to cook them on charcoal grills, which makes a huge difference to the taste. I tend to flash fry mine in butter. Our barbie is gas so not as good, yes I know you can get stuff to use that makes it like a wood barbie but for how often we use it.... And just for me?

But your situation is a little weird. Especially re lamb.

We accidentally bought mutton chops the other day. Din't realise (only I eat them) and I cooked them as I would lamb chops, in the oven, 190 degs for 25 mins.

Jeezo they were awful! Couldn't chew them. The dogs loved them!! 🤣 🤣 🤣

It's the same here also Stan I have given up ordering it unless I have a saw in my pocket all red meat is cooked till it's falling apart or bashed to death,
That's why we mainly eat game , but the sea food is first class,
A few years ago a MacDonald opened not far from us the fist one a month past and it closed saying the meat here was substandard, things are getting better now with joining the EU
