Afternoon folks:).

So its MOT time for the little trailer, so test it yesterday with the tester and no LH flasher or tail light:(. A few years ago a couple of cables got rubbed and knackered near the plug and I did a quick choc block fix. So I guess its time to put the junction box and 13pin plug, which should be in the garage somewhere.
SO cant find the plug but found everything else. Ok I will just use the old plug .
Got the box mounted and the wires all crimped and on the connector block, now the plug yep couple of screws wouldnt give up the wire so use some penetrating oil M brought as it was close to hand (I was to lazy too go to the garage for mine) Its CFC free and powered by butane (i fink) bloody orrible stuff :(, Anyways got some nice new wire on the plug, crimped other ends and plugged in at the box after checking pics of wire colours taken before cutting all should be good:).
Plug in the tester NO same as before:(. So my choc block repair was good all along;).
So to the light we go and check with the meter strange readings but all in the light is good no damage on wire from there to the front. Right its the plug into the light then. Which of course has never been touched.
Take off plug and look, ermm some of those contacts look wrong, so off with the rubber backing to get to it and yep 2 wires broke dangling and 2 connectors came out (untanged), got that connected back up and test:). Bring out the flags:D:D:D.

So the moral of the story is dont ever think your quick repair is at fault, think more that the twit at the factory didn't do his/her job properly in the first place;).

Anyway what else did I have to do:).

Beer time:D.

Only been back a few hours, and the NHS has booked me in for a flu jab and on the following day another covid booster. They must like sticking needles in people - bluddy mascochists :D
And on the other hand, Wifey rang up to place her normal request for a prescription to find that her GP has retired or moved on. and the new one won't give her a prescription for all her Morphine, Gabapentin that she has been taking for years, etc. Without a conversation about it. So W is all uptight about it, understandably, not wanting to go cold turkey.
There's always bloody something.
