It's very damp 'ere although the precious liquid is not falling at the moment. I think I will just have to accept that summer has gone and autumn is slowly getting itself established. My only hope is that ,so far, as the day has progressed the sun has come out and it has been pleasantly warm.

morning all!
Got up in a foul mood today.
Conscious of how little time we have in which to do what we want to do. Maintenance taking up so much time.
And I seem to be continuously working on my feckin Disco, which I thought was OK when I left the UK, having done so much on it there.
Realised I don't have a 9/16 spanner to take the propshaft off with. Socket, yes, metric stuff yes, coming out of my ears.
so will have to start the day by looking round to see where I can get one, then crawling underneath to see if I can manage it anyhow with what I have. All this and i'm not even sure it is the problem.
GRRRR!

Did say I didn't believe her grades, knowing her work ethic (very little).
It'll be fecking hot today so maybe the pool will become swimmable for both of us soon, 34Cpredicted for this affo. doon the toon and 31C up top the nearby mountains so we'll be at about 32-3.

I have one in a pouch along with spare bolts for mine. A bit ott but as the UJ's were Britpart I don't take a chance

Having worked on cars since 1972 I have a load of AF stuff at home in the UK. so obvs i have about 5 9/16 spanners of all sorts. but not one over here. Typical.I have one in a pouch along with spare bolts for mine. A bit ott but as the UJ's were Britpart I don't take a chance

Must be interesting then when LRs arrived having been exported and the foreign mechs started working on them, happily going at it with their metric tools, only to find the need for a "special tool" to take the fecking propshafts off!!!Because we are British and do things slightly differently to the rest of Europe

Yep, it is only on the older stuff now though? I should imagine even LR have metric on props for their new Defender?
Don't imagine I will ever find out! But would agree seeing as they are being made abroad anyway, aren't they? (You can tell how little interest I have in new models.)
This Disco will be the last one for me I think and at the mo, if we had another form of transport, it would be high on the list of appearing on a sacrificial bonfire!
Just took the last mouthful of my large coffee only to find a fecking fly was in my mouth. Bastid!
