Me daffer dils are dieing oft. Monty were ont garden program last friday saying something about the blob behind the flower head. Din't catch what he said. To pull it oft or not to pull it oft. That be the question. Is it another bulb eye could plant to get a second daffer dil?
Pull them off so that the energy reserves go back into the original bulb and makes them bigger, stronger etc. The Spalding flower Festival is the way 'they' use the flowers after they have de-headed all the bulbs, if you have ever seen any of the lovely decorated floats. :)

its the seed head of which you can collect the seeds once its dried out, and as long as you leave the plant alone and dont cut off the leaves till they die back on their own (thats when the bulb is fed)it wont matter if you dead head or not we never bother

...that I have finished ALL of the required plasterboard cladding in the mini-Barn. :)
Horrible stuff, especially when you have to surform corners so a bead-trim can sit nicely. It makes a terribly dusty mess that gets ground into everything if you don't do a proper clean-up.
Window-cills/sills next week. and then the plasterers can come and filthy everything up. ;)

Good Afternoon Good Folk of LZ

This was at the bottom of the valley that I walked up.

This is the view back down the valley once I'd finished the foods and hiked a bit higher.

Once I got to the top I could then see me Islands only mountain (Snaefell) and the highest hill on the far left (North Barrule)

It wasn't far at just 5.5 miles.

The "W" has come off your name-badge on your portable solar charger. ;)

Looks like a great time outdoors enjoying the fresh air. :)

Morning All :D
A bit cloudy but quite bright here.:)
Lots to do in my Mini-Barn before the plasterers can attend, but I managed to get 2 window reveals boarded up yesterday.
Today I may attempt the stretch across the top of the french doors and the last reveal. All I will have left to do then is the step in the wall where the new gable structure protrudes over the previous dot-n-dab plaster boarding.
Then it is on to the window-cills/sills (which I have not purchased yet.
I will probably get sucked into the work on my son's garden next week, but I will have to go easy as I have really messed myself up on it last week. Too much for my old body.
You M-F working folks especially but all of you have a really splendid day today and enjoy yourselves. :D
Dan, mate, for F's sake, take it easy.
We don't want you posting from orspicle either!:eek::eek:

The one we are doing just now is three stories a lot more work involved as we need to re-use
the old slate, concrete tiles to replace would be a much quicker job. I usually put the drone up
to see whats going on. :) Fink the drone might run out of power before it reached yours o_Olol
We have those concrete tiles, they is blasted heavy beasts!

Ive got ants in me hoose ffs they need to be evicted..
The old white powder stuff works pretty well. But you may need to put lines of it across your doorways and maybe even your windows or near airbricks, wherever they are getting in.
Once they get hold of it they take it back to their lair and there they proceed to kill all the others. We get lots of em in Frogland and it does work pretty well.
:):):):):)

I will mate. Well, a lot easier than last week for sure.
We could only get the mini-digger for 2 days so a lot had to happen in too short a space of time.
I am amused to find that my work buddy (32YO) declares he still feels "destroyed" by last Thursday's efforts.
It was just me and him that day and I know he was doing his best to prevent me from injuring myself so he really was going overboard.
I too was "pushing it" and I still hurt, but he is 1/2 my age so it was gratifying to know its not just me feeling the strain of the effort expended.
