... that I very rarely go to the tip, in fact it's probably 6 months since my last visit. Today I went to the tip to dispose of a metal dog cage. My tratter is registered on my V5 as a car, the DVLA class it as a car, I'm not in the building trade in any way, and I never take other people's waste to the tip. It hasn't got a double axle and I don't have a trailer. I disagree with the rule prohibiting me going to the tip more than once a year with a permit. I was told that I can tip anything I want if I "stick a window either side". A ridiculous, inflexible rule. Lancashire County Council is a load of cock!

@Mackers . I don’t think you are the only 1 to have a problem like that. You should of taken the metal cage to the recycler he would of took it of your hands,:)

Oh I know it'll be the same in most parts of the country, but the rule is all based around stopping builders using the tip for work debris (no wonder they're fly tipping). I forgot to mention I had a plastic bucket too, but actually, I never thought about your suggestion. That would've been easy for me to do as I know where there's a metal recycler.

Wish we had snow. Looks brill :)

It was a lovely day with the sun out and worked up a sweat moving the wood, but hey wood warms you more than once:)

The snow was only a few inches. There will be more coming I am sure:eek::). It can be fun as long as you are prepared:D or have the ability to just not have to bother with it when it’s really bad. That usually means the dog walks himself and we sit in front of a roaring fire drinking hot toddies :)
