thanks, now it’s battery watch time and find out how we do:)
I am sure they will find a way to tax us on all they can as peeps move away from using the already taxed stuff;)

a few panels and a load of batteries with a bunch of electrical gizmos so nothing goes back to the grid (less red tape). We still have the ability to draw from the grid if needed.
Batteries were at 49% this morning and are now at 100% had the immersion on and the dishwasher already oh and the kettle numerous times today so we have to see how we get on.

plan for a small windy thing for those grumpy days later. Our gizmos allow that as an input later

Looks good. A solar heated "water-store" (of immense volume) and you will be "belt & braces". Are there restrictions on erecting any wind-towers for wind-gen?

what like a 500l tank and 4 water panels:) problem is the heating takes from same tank so toasty tiled floors.
Normally this time of year the wood burner takes care of the water/heating, but due to the fact we haven’t been burning it as normal this year the immersion does click on.

there probably are restrictions for big stuff but was only thinking a couple of meters. Which was why we don’t feed back. The paperwork needs a rubber stamp from a hundred places here, and can be frustrating still.

What capacity of battery storage do you have?

Today I as been mostly wiring up a load of sockets, pulling cables in and terminating. Body has been contorted in some strange positions in the loft and under the worktops. I am knackered. Couple of hours tomorrow should get it connected into the ring main. And another job crossed off the list after testing. Fffffizzzzz BANG.

Msr. Reynard has become so bold he actually comes to the back door of the house to request his share of the food the cats have deigned is unsuitable for feline consumption.
He's very wary of you, and will run away if you get too close, but he waits patiently for the cat-bowl to be emptied onto a stepping-stone.

It's obviously doing him proud, he looks in fine fettle.
