My grandad spent the war nicking stuff from the dockyard. He was a blacksmith.
Uncle in Korea, but he doesn't talk about it.
Dad was a baby passed amongst yank tanks by his brothers in exchange for chocolate in the days before DDay.
Other grandad had three ships go down under him, he never spoke of it either.
My machining mentor Polish Ted came over in the war, never spoke of it.
