I spotted me sparrow hawk perched about 8ft up a tree today. By the time I had me bins out it was swooping down to where the grass meets me fence where it stayed for about 30 secs before flying off with a mouse in its talons. I thought all the mice hibernating but the weather is mild ----. Anyway, thought Hippo might like to try eatin' a mousey next?

Sorry for my advanced cynicism.
I worked for a wonderful company and was well rewarded for my efforts and received annual pay rises in line with inflation (or better) and compensation plans were balanced and achievable and honored.
Then the company was bought out by the Jews competitors from Tel-Aviv and all pay rises disappeared. Nothing for the next 10 years.
Was glad to leave in the end.

(Reuters) - Prosecutors in Canada on Wednesday proposed a $196.5 million (CAD) ($258.3 million) fine against Volkswagen AG after the company pleaded guilty to dozens of counts of diesel emissions violations, a company spokesman confirmed.

Volkswagen was charged in December with importing nearly 128,000 vehicles into Canada violating emissions standards. VW pleaded guilty after being charged with 60 counts of breaching the Canadian Environmental Protection Act and providing misleading information. The company said last month it had reached “a proposed plea resolution” without disclosing details.
