Weather report from the regions peeps?

Windy and rain ear. Am not scared but eye need ter get sum wood ont me roof rack so eye is waitin fer the rain ter stop.

@Hippo are you building an ark?
Yes and no. Eye is making me garage doors wider. Once done eye us cutterin the bricks wider anorl. That's this weekends job.

Int back ground eye is lookerin at making me own furniture fer castle hippo. Eye has always been inter wud wurk from when eye were little. Eye dun't have the o'fishal knowledge of what wud ter pick or how best ter treat it, but eye has used all sorts if saws and a router so have a fair eye dear of what ter do.

Financially am ok ter buy stuff but eye have always wanted ter have a go at making furniture so now is me chance. Fing is am careful with me spending and some of the solid wud stuff is eggspensive for what it is. Tis a lot of money ter buy several items like multiple wardrobes, draws, tv cabinet and kitchen table/chairs. Eye could make them fer less or the same and enjoy doing it. So that's me plan. Hence all the wud wurk stuff appearing. It will be an ongoing project ferra number if years. No rush.

A couple of years ago just after I moved house I needed some new bedroom furniture. Me and Mrs Wimblowdriver had a look at Joke Furniture land and quickly realised that if ****part made furniture, that would be it in their showrooms. Found a little showroom locally called Grandads Shed, they make stuff to order only in Pocklington (yorkshire) and are a very small but bespoke producer. Ordered what we needed and a couple of months later it was delivered. Outstandingly superb stuff. It will last for the rest of my life and beyond for someone else, no doubt will turn up on the antiques rodeo show in a couple of hundred years. Only downside it was bloody expensive. But yer gets wot yer pay for.
