As part ov the rules down ere the council have to be advised ov wuk. Partial or full rewire and change ov dist board requires council notified. Same fer window, external door and heating boiler change. All has to be done by qualified person. Yer can't get away wiv yer squirrel doing it then gerra qualified spark in to sign oft. A lot do but its on the sparks back if there's trouble. Tis why a lot won't sign oft others wuk so there's an option ov paying the council to inspect. They send a known contracter in. If the house is empty and no floor coverings then its a dream job as yer can access anywhere. No furnature int way. Can drop cables into plaster wiv no fear ov decorating cost problems. 4k would be high. 7k5 they seem yer bags ov free cash.
