Asking for herself's dottir. She has a zaffy and the drl lamp is brighter than the night time headlight. Same lamp but the wrong way round to my mind. Reversing the lamp makes no difference (how is that even possible) @Dippypud, I think you are an officianado? Opine if you have a mind too please...?
Anybody else can pile in anorl. Ta.

Yer telling peeps to use inhumane meffuds of killing animals, which is against our law in the uk. There's humane meffuds available. No excuse not to use them. Fings like the supply of glue traps are banned. Methods causing prolonged pain and distress are banned.

Is this on one side of the car or both?
When yer gorra dim bulb it is likely to be a loss somewhere. As above a worn relay contact. Loose fuse. Try pulling it out the fuse to see iffit grips like the others. If the bulb moves about and its ok in other sockets then look in the socket fer damage or worn contacts.

I dug into this and this is what it came up with.
Basically the only humane way to do it is to bash them over the head or body with something.

Any sort of humane trap is seen as cruel, and any sort of poison is a "last resort".

From UFAW:
"It is therefore recommended that live caught rats and mice are humanely killed, using a concussive blow to the head. The trapped rat will need to be transferred to a sack:eek::eek: before delivering the concussive blow to its head."

So basically this means putting yourself in some danger even if you are totally tooled up and experienced with it all, as a trapped rat can wee on you and bite you unless you know what you are doing.
It doesn't mention shooting it in the head or elsewhere, but I guess that would be a pretty "concussive blow".

This is getting to be a topic that is animating some people, wish I hadn't brought it up, as I did, more or less just for laughs. ;)

We has gotted neebs coming over for dins tomoz so today W has gone out to do lots of errands and a hospicle visit, pre-op for her injections in her fingas.
So I am on dusting, polishing and vacuuming duties, plus hosing out the downstairs bog.

Marked up for three piano hinges, only problem being the top vent on bonnet, there's a hole under it.
Just plucking up the courage for the first cut 🤔
Yikes, I can see exactly why the bonnet lump would be a problem.
I have seen kit cars with a bonnet hinge on one side, but many also, like the one on my Marlin, which is a one piece you have to take off each time.
Can you not hinge it at the back somehow?
