... bad news for me.
The local council in its infinite wisdom has approved the conversion of what was a Grade listed edwardian property just up the street into what I can only describe as a halfway house for ne-er-do-wells, druggies and probably asylum-seekers. So what was a family home is being converted into a 9-person occupancy "individual bedroom with en-suite shower" and a single communal kitchen residence.
Slipped through on the nod late last year as a 6-bed of same character, now developer has re-jigged the lans to make the rooms smaller and squeeze 3 more "units" into the footprint. The attached next-door neighbour of the other Semi is a bit miffed.
Time for us to move elsewhere I think.

As the Disco's gear box is playing up and we may well be short of time to get it fixed, W and I are thinking of buying another tow vehicle just to get us off to Frogland this year. Not necessarily long term.

So I have just had a bit of a look online at ones wiv 3.5 tonne towing cap. And we don't want anything young and pricey.

Poop! Where do you start?
Surprisingly hard to find sensible advice via the net.
Should specify that we are looking for a 4x4 with a huge boot, i.e. a Disco type vehicle, not a pick up.
No longer bothered about manufacturer, just price and reliability. Less of the first more of the second!
Surly yer can gerrit reconditionned or fixed wivvin a few weeks. Or a recon fitted.
