We have had a bit of a tragedy here in Essex. A pair of kids (a Brother and Sister) in Pitsea were killed while riding their e-scooter.
They died at the scene of the accident apparently, paramedics could not save them.
Everyone is up in arms because the driver of the car that hit them failed to stop, but have subsequently been arrested.
Lynch mobs are abounding on FarceBook and an outpouring of grief and condolence is occurring. A go-fundme is running to pay for the funeral because the parents are too poor to pay for a funeral (but can clearly afford e-scooters).

No-one has asked 2 key questions AFAIK.
1. Were these kids riding on the road where they should not have been, or did the car that struck them mount the pavement to get them?
2. Did the driver of the vehicle in question flee the scene in horror/panic or did they abscond because they were on drink/drugs and/or have no tax/insurance?

Leaving it open to speculation just makes things worse I think.
I bet the parents that bought the e-scooter wish they had not done so.

Afternoon folks :).

Tractor is out the garage, I know a bit late but it was orribble yesterday;). Cleared up some of the carnage more tomorrow.
Initial blast (well trundle;)) up the road seemed good vibration gone, engine feels happy, so all good for nowπŸ‘.

Still cold here but sunny, Ice on the pool cover gone now, trying to decide weather to light the fire or not, probably will as still forecast minus temps overnight.

Got to sort to shuffle some paper now in prep for the talk with the "money man" tomorrow. Expecting things to be a bit volitile at the moment, cos of you know who over the pond. But hey we wil see once things settle is what I expect.

When I was at skool we put our skool dinners left overs in a tub which was then put in bins which were collected by the pig farmer to feed his oinkers. We had to separate prune stones out before putting the rest in the tub, so the oinkers didn't break their teeth on them.
Used to be a wagon go round all the Cambridge colleges at 6 in the morning as we had to wait for him to get out the way before starting construction work cor he did smell πŸ–but the pork tasted loverly 🐷
