Shredded cabbage, cucumber, onion and boiled eggs ... just the thing after Xmas ...

Yesterday I tried to create some 12mm AF hex keyways for the 2WD unit(s). It was a very dismal, depressing affair as it was a total failure. There I was >£100 spent to make this happen and it just didn't.
🙁
This isn't what you want on your 70th birthday at all.
Today I went online to various engineering places I know and explained the problem. Help & advice was given and received.
I acted on the advice and re-jigged the whole shebang to make my own version of a rotary broach using what I had to hand.
Bingo! A hex keyway was formed.

Now I need to work on fine control of placement of this key way so that it is repeatable every time.
😃

Arternoon all.
Spent a little time fixing part of the garage roof, only noticed yesterday.
Don't think the expected winds would have bothered it much anyway.
Why does this sort of poop only happen when you are away?
Luckily it was more or less only trim, so no water entry.
Hope all are having fun, sorry about the expense @DanClarke and hope you otherwise enjoyed the celebrations!
:):):)

Meanwhile she was out in your garridge in the cold lying under your disco changing the diff!
OK! We get it!
Fair exchange and all that!! 🤣 🤣 🤣

She managed to shift some scaffold planks upstairs for the new floor, clean the house, make steak pie for me & the neebs,
do all the washing, she was too tired to strip the front axle I'll get her to do that tomorrow. 🤣 🤣
