I've trundled over to the smallholding project this afternoon. I had to go slowly because the fog was so thick, but once I climbed up into the Cambrian mountains I was above the clouds:

Just getting things out of the car in that picture. It was so sunny up above the fog line that my solar panels put 1.5 Kwh into my batteries. I got an hour or two in cutting brambles down before the sun set.

And after:

All chopped up small so as to decompose and add to the organic matter. I got so warm I took my coat off. When there's no wind you can work up quite a sweat, even in December. As soon as the sun set the mist appeared. Very thick too - it made my torch look like a light sabre.

What would an alien want wiv a tratter? Their space ships are like well advanced int technology. Two aliens finking about gerrin a tratter. Lets px our flying air craft ferra biscuit tin on wheels. It just dun't make sense.
They know a good vehicle when they see one. Now tell me this don't look like a tratter (with doors carefully removed) -----

For many years peeps have bin told rover started buildering tratters because rover car sales dropped during and after the war. They did. They talk of the design origins but dun't always give the full detail. If yer fink about it the designers were blokes. 20+ years before that they were children. Times were hard. Yer gorra apple fer crispmus if yer lucky. Toof fairy were shint. So yer had to make do. In thems days yer could often find a tin box int house. They din't have plastic in them days. Said box were ideal fer converting into toys. 4 oles, 2 sticks and 4 pebbles made yer first toy car. Roll on 20 years and they built a full size one. Inspuration from their yoof. Yhe first of many prototype Freelanders was born'd.

Those clever NASA scientists thought it through. They decided that as there is no water or oxygen on the moon, steel wouldn't rust. So a tratter with doors removed made the perfect choice. But they dropped the Defender name and called it the Lunar Rover.
Actually, you might be right. I can see the umbrella on the front in the picture, which is a factory standard requirement for a tratter.
