Boiled then saute in butter with finley chopped Smokey bacon loverly 👌👌
The trick is to peel them until there are no green (bitter) leaves left on them. just yellow ones.
Cross cut in the bottom/stalk.
Then boil them for not too long. In salted water.
They taste nice just like that, with a bit o gravy.

The smokey bacon, butter sauté thing is a nice touch.

Good idea Duxford ?👍👍
Had my birthday present there, a flight in a Tiger Moth.
The pilot was a really decent bloke, we were up for far longer than we should have been, he gave me more control than he would have done once he got the idea I knew what I was doing, and we did some great aerobatics.
His day job was an airline pilot. he said he did it to keep himself in love with flying!

Another Scam has appeared.
SMS message saying you have outstanding parking fines and tries to take you to an authentic looking site.
The threat is that if you don't pay, further action will be taken and additional fines will be issued. Yawn.
We had it recently. Funnily enough we had a letter about a real parking fine at the hospital. Just a coincidence or leaked info, you decide!

Just MOT'd the Land Rover today. The place I usually go to has all new people working there and they appear to be a bit more diligent than the last lot. I now have advisories that my springs are rusty and that there is rust on the front inner wings. The latter are a bit flaky and appear to be delaminating. They've been like that for a while, but they're being noticed now.
There's various stuff I have in mind to do over the next year or so. I must work my way through the suspension bushes as the existing set have been on for over a decade. Things are looking a bit juicy around the fuel pressure regulator, so it might be time for another one of those. So I might add new springs and inner wing panels to the shopping list.

Yes, I've had the existing set of Superpros in for the last 130,000 miles, so nearly 100,000 miles more than they were guaranteed for. I've got another kit that will be going in one corner at a time over the next few months.
