I would put one in your airing cupboard you are spending a lot of time in there πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰
There is a rechargeable LED strip thing stuck to the ceiling in the airing cupboard but it is flipping useless for lighting the bit below the shelf which is full of stuff! So I keep having to hang my torch off pipes etc so I can see what the flip I am doing!
The landing light is at the wrong end of the landing!

Yes but it is attached to my Disco 1 300tdi!
I was talking about fitting something to my Disco 2 TD5.

Sounds like a good plan. I have no idea really how "flow sensing A rate" would work out but I am sure you are telling me it'll be OK. Can I just get a core/cartridge type thing or do I need to buy a whole pump and just take the head out?
Thanks very much yet again for the valuable advice.
Never seen just the core only the whole pump, you can swap the whole thing if you want to but the big nuts can be a pig some times, if you have a spanner or adjustable big enough you can try.

I really am thinking now that the problem is the pump, hopefully just a sticky impellor, I "sticked" it this arternoon and it was going "whst, whst, whst" instead of "weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee". So far too slow a speed. Also when I bled it it was the only place where blackish watter came out.
I am switching it all off tonight so that in the morn it'll be cold and I'll be able to take it to a point where I can possibly shift the impellor around or strip it down further. Don't fink they are that much money unless you can still get cartridges for them.
Would an uprated pump for my 15-50 be a 15-60?
Asking for a dumbo!:):):)I
My old outfit used the UPM3 auto model for ufh.
The first number is the connection size, and I think the second number relates to the amount of head* it'll provide, so is betterer.
They stopped the old three speed switch pumps some years ago and the new ones allow you to set it for:
Constant flow or
Constant pressure or
Constant delta pee
Or summink like that, @brianp38dse will know for sure which you need.
A quick google has new pumps on the bay for sixxy quid (which is what we paid each for a pallet load) or head only for thirdy.

I'd take they old one apart first off though, they're very simple.

*Steady now..

Having read your thing on this I am tempted to get a set and fit them all along the bumper of the Disco, white, switched via the reversing light.
Thoughts anyone?
;)

Ive got led light on my roll cage at the back, but ive always put one on my roof rack & sometimes id be blinding people on the way to work in the as ive switched the engine off & left the switch on. 🀣 🀣 Id be like whos that flashing at me oh aye oooopps

Cheers, I just meant could I buy the core on its own. It deffo sounds like swopping the guts over would be easier! ;):)

Nowt here yet.

I sure hope he or someone does as I haven't flipping clue!!

At the moment I am just thinking of stripping the one I have got down and if it is an easy fix, putting it back together again , if not getting another pump just like it or the upgrade to a 15-60 and taking the guts out of that and swapping it over.

The one we have served us fine since about 1990 so I am not going to rush to change things dramatically.
But thanks for the input.
