Pontüche Method or commonly known as Parking a disputed subject.
A recent personnel meeting, which was getting heated on the subject of packing labels, for live gerbils from Amazon jungle tribes. Resulted in the use of the Pontüche Method that stopped the subject dead in the water. This allowed other concerning subjects to brought forward.
The origin of Pontüche Method dates to a German Naval Rating
Kurt Swarbdekken Who was faced under fire during the Jutland battle, a decision when his forward gun position stuck to the right.
The hand signals to inform the captain about the predicament was to raise both arms and hands halfway straight ahead, then swinging right and hard down.

Yer must be on some strong stuff.

Yet to hear back from W as to how the visit went.
Don't bode well methinks. :(

And at this end things have really gone poop.😢😢😢

Found that the bloke who fitted the septic tank made a right cheap job of it. The exit from the tank is a right angled bit of drain pipe, one end goes into the tank, the other end goes DOWN. Well, fiddling about with it in a small ditch I had to dig to try and clear the overflow away I realised that the down pipe ended about 18" down and was supposed to be connected to yet another pipe that went even further down, presumably until it was/is nearly at the bottom of the outside of the tank. The barstaff who fitted it never glued hardly any of the pipes together, apparently it is straditional not to do so over here. So this pipe will be nearly 2 metres long. So most of it is buried and most of it is full of sludge. I rammed a mining bar down it to see if I could clear it, the bar kept feeling like it was hitting concrete then it was suddenly go through but only up to another bit of solid. The bar isn't long enough and it doesn't move from side to side at all, so whatever is down there is flipping tough stuff.
I need a longer mining bar for a start and to clear all the waste "water" from the pipe so I can chuck powerful drain cleaner down. I don't have a sludge pump so all I can think of at the mo is to fabricate some sort of a syphon out of old swimming pool pipe or watering hose, But I won't be sucking on the end of that to start it off!

Hope your days are going better.;)
Yer tools not long enuff. Can yer gerrold of a scaff tube.

The fact is that I had a need to bang on the end of the mining bar, so I cut off the chisel shaped end in order to be able to do it. So it is that much shorter.
I do have other tools or things I could make into tools. I went to a Diy place this arvo and although they were supposed to have mining bars in there, they didn't. But I bought 2 litres of block busting liquid.
I'll be making something up as well as chucking the liquids in. It is just possible that w's fancy dutch hoe might fit down the pipe.
Wish I had my welding gear here, then I could make up some kind of augur bit to fit the inner bore dimension exactly.

Sounds like yer gottid more than a stuck log. Could it be a pipe collapsed.

Silly W decided that planting an orchard over the pipe that leads to the main drain would be a good idea, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if it wasn't root intrusion, but where I have found the blockage it will not be that. It is too far away from the nearest tree.
I think it is just a flipping awkward fatberg. We were too naive about what a septic tank can deal with ever since we got the house, until now that is. But the stable door has been bolted truly a bit late.

I'll have to scout around for one over here then.
Thanks for letting me know they exist!;):)

The last time I had to unblock a drain with one of they things I removed the lance off my pressure washer & rammed the hose down it. It was down for a good few mins until it started to back flow & fill up the well, I let it drain down then done it again
then one almighty swoosh it all slipped away to poo heaven. 🤣 🤣

Eye gorra karcher fing wiv a drain unblocker. Kin powerful. This chap has one. Not sure if there's more than one model. Mine only jets back along its pipe. He's modded his wiv a forward jet hole.

The forward jet hole seems to be the more important one, and there are youtubes about funny rubber bag things you can attachc to an ornery garden hose with a tiny hole in the other end of them, that inflate with the water pressure to jam them into the pipe so the little hole jet on the other end can do the biz along with the increased water pressure.

Mate that was so funny! and so "apposite".
Made me lol on what has been a bit of a tough day, ta Kev!!!
I do wonder how you find this stuff or did you just Google
"Funny Scottish sketch about how "How" means "why" in Glesgae!"

OK I'm going to try that and see what happens!

And flip me the first two things that came up were both that sketch!!!

EDIT. All cleaned up now.
Sorry @Hippo
