Look out Stonehenge has Scotlandshire heritage.
Think they found a skirt under it :D .

Be fassinadin ferrus Debn boys. Stone cudve come vrum Horknee, where em av tooms contempry wiv Pyreemids. Shows ow widespread their belief system wuz an ow commonplace the maffemadics em needed tu achieve what they did. Em ad zame branes as wot us du, em layin foundations fer wot us av now. Pretty stonishin really.

Only ever bought a mitre block thing once. TOTAL poop. may as well have been made of jelly. Got it from Scroofix. And the mitres saw that came with it was bent as a banana. Two of, if not the two, worst things I ever got from them. Both got flown off the balcony.:mad::mad:

I made my own mitre block about 40 years ago, still got it. Worked ok anorl. Last year, for the dottir's house, I got one of those little plastic templates from scroofix for about a fiver. So easy to use. These days I don't bother to be precise in the corners, its so easy to use a bit of the adhesive as a filler and get the accurate shape with a pallet knife.

I do love this.
The fact that stone age man had brains big as us, just not the knowledge.
Me thinking that nowadays many western and eastern earthlings have the knowledge but not the brains.
Half the world "all the gear and no idea"!!!

Where are we all gonna end up???
Yet the aborigines can still communciate by telepathy, stuff that we have lost.

Just back from a tip-run with a load of rubble. Rools have changed since my last load more than a year ago, we are now limited to the equivalent of two 50 litre bags full. Which is a lot less than I can get in me tratter. And one load per week. As I have quite a bit to get rid of, this will entail more trips over a longer period. On the plus side, they no longer charge for it, saving me about 15 sovs per load - and as its not far to the tip, that more than pays for the diesel consumed. And they didn't check how much I had in the tratter, so next time might be a bit more than 2 bags full.

That son-in-law I am always on about also told me to make my own mitre block. He does it all the time as he is always using weird, and big, types of wood for things.
Of course compound mitre saw makes it all a lot easier. I was finally able to afford one once I got to the point of hardly needing it! 🤣

But I could still see the diagonal ridge in the first long run where I had yet to learn how to do it properly.

I have been over it many times with M. She cant see what I am seeing. You see it as you did it, I have put stuff up not level cos it looks right, Nobody has ever said "what happened there then".

Sometimes there is nobody more critical than ourselves.

Hee Hee!
I was once lying on a dentist's chair and I said to the lovely lady dentist. "That shelf of yours isn't straight!" she looked surprised and looked at it then back at me. "Are you an engineer or something?" "No, just put a round thing on it like a bottle." sure enough she only just caught it in time as it rolled to the end. I guess they only ever put a few flat things on it!

I must check next time I go!

My missus can never hear the noises I can hear in a car. I think that is quite common.

The human race is moving backwards you only have to listen to politician's

A dog or dogs are no match for a pack of wolf's just more food for them you get 8 or 10 that are hungry not Mutch will stop them better to sacrifice one sheep thay are not like foxes that kill for for the fun of it thay make a kill eat it the rest go's back to the lare for the cubs
I was only thinking of a flock of sheep that live up on the Pic du Nore by themsleves but with a couple of big specialist dogs. We do have wolves here but only a very few, remember the paw prints in the snow outside our place when we arrived a year or two back.

So I get it if you live amongst packs of 8 or 10, that must make life exciting!
The only thing comparable round ours is the wild boar. And they generally leave us alone, don't get through the fences or nowt. But they can ravage a vineyard.

I've a funny feeling he already has summat like that but it could be someone else on 'ere.

Nope we don't yet. But we have thought about a well, who knows how deep though the way things are going, and yes we have discussed some storage of fresh water in the basement ;).

We get by atm but its an annoyance and getting worse, lets see how this year goes.

They had great organisation, covering vast areas of this country, even tho they were many fewer in number

Collecting roof run off really is worthwhile if you have a veg garden, fruit trees etc and it can be used for other things, like washing the car etc.
(Not that I ever do that, it is against my religion!) 🤣🤣🤣

Sinking a bore hole is heckish expensive here and I assume in most places. Our neighbour has just had an estimate now he has somehow found out it can be done but I think he said it was summat stoopid like 300 metres!
