As I said, you need to bundle up these stories and make them into a book!🤣
You can sell/publish books for free via Amazon. Or even put em up for peeps to have for free!
(The isbn numbers cost though, and you have to give a certain number of books to libraries around the country.
And if the Bodlean in Oxford wants a copy, or any other academic library, you have to do that too! (Guess how I know!)
But I'd read it! (Yours I mean!)

Soo glad that wingnut is out of your life, and your pocket!!! :vb-banana:

Ok so my noo D1 modded off roader is on its way, big thanks for @Hippo for helping me out I really appreciate it. ;)

Good lord! It's had half its ass cut off!
What is it going to sit on or hang its troos off???!!!
Looks kinda cool!
Well done both you and @Hippo!:banana::banana:
I'd love to ask its spec and how much you paid for it.
But that would not be seemly!
Enjoy!!:):):)

Well the news is that those two trees together yielded 191 kgs of appuls.
So that'll make 95 litres of juice which we will pick up on Monday when we deliver the next load picked from the rest of the trees whose yield will be a lot lower.
We think the appler variety is "Greensleeves".
We will still have to pay for three bottles as we only had 92 empties! (We give too many away!)
(We bought a whole load of trees all older varieties.)
Weather a lot cooler today and not sunny all the time.
Going to have a bit of a lazier day today, plus I hurt myself a bit more than I thought yessdi. Left knee doesn't want to do much and I somehow pulled a muscle in my stomach. Only evident on waking up this a.m.
Have a good day folks!!:):):)

Decided to renew insurance on my Yeti as I can't sell it.
Quoted over 1100 quid ffs.
Been shopping around, NFU only do rural postcodes, Admiral came in at £800+, AA was £1030, USwitch £880 , and best so far is compare the market at £655 but no Euro cover.
Try again tomorrow 🤔
Wot about SAGA? They give all year round continental cover. Both our D2 and W's Pluriel are on it, together with recovery again all year round including abroad.

NFU went pants a while ago for LR products, I used to be with them. This year for the D2 2000, auto. was £334.16 all in fully comp including recovery. Me and W named driver.

Saga wanted 1700 last time I had a quote
Clean licence, no convictions 10 years no claims and I dont live in a bad postcode

We’re with NFU but they’ve been hiking the rates for a couple of years even on two run of the mill Škodas. Seems all the insurers are bagging up just because they can.

Afternoon folks :).

Been sunny here, few very small showers but not enough to make a diff. I don't understand how the grass is crispy underfoot yet the weeds are nearly a foot tall with the little moister we have had:vb-confused2:.

So have removed our old Sat dish (ex internet) 4x 6" raw plugs, that wasn't going anywhere, They will go in the box of "they are useful";) Yes I pulled the plugs.
Got to prep the wall, some bad render and repaint it before we fit the extra solar panels. Its ott on the scaffold as its south facing so 08:30- 09:30 and I had worked up enough sweat (for an old retired git).

Then on to clearing and cleaning the rear porch in prep to put up the ceiling, before we stack wood in it, and then I cant. I need to use the wood for the ceiling as "apparently" we are buying the wood for the floor in the "east wing" soon and "I" need to find some place to store it .

Can I go back to work? please:p.

But hey a swim and a beer sorts all, so I am fine now:D.

£550 from Hastings. yes the same Hastings that quoted over a grand yesterday
Only difference is that I did it on the phone rather than my laptop ??

Same here with the weeds and the grass. If I can find any!
We got up yet again at 7 a.m. Previous days we got up earlier so we could start work at first light. Been doing this for getting on for 3 weeks now. I quite like it, well more than "quite" as I hate working in the heat.
I stored the wood, for the last decking I did, outside on a covered patio for years. Far too many.
When I went to fit it I had very little spare and some, many, were banana shaped. I had to make a special tool to pull them into place as I screwed them down. Still it looks OK now.;)
If it is flooring shouldn't you be storing it where it will be laid?

The present wood is for a ceiling so is only thin but has been stored dry, in the same environment as its going to be fitted.
As I said to M if we stored it where it is to be fitted I wouldn't be able to fit it (space). We are far from needing the floor, but sometimes my opinion (the guy doing the work) doesn't count:rolleyes:. So I have to jump on a n other job for love🤗 as you do.

Then I can get on with the other jobs at the top of the list.

But in defense of Ms "we need it now" We have often found here that we see something and agree that is what we need, 2months later shop or product has gone. The Hall is wood floor (was to continue into the east wing) but the woodyard don't do it anymore. So sometimes I can see the sense in stocking jobs when they have what you want.
