So C said , tomorrow at 0600?
So I said yes cos I don't want to upset him.
Dawn is only just breaking, there will be dew over everything.
Avoiding the heat is one thing but.....
Still 13 minutes past and he ain't here yet.
Must be Frog 0600, i.e. 6h00
Well amazingly there was no dew on anything at 0615.
The night was too warm apparently.

Still finished with it for the day except that I still have to go and 50 more.:mad:
I knew I was going to be short, but not 50% short.

This is down to so many tiles seeming to be OK until you lift them and find the underside crumbling away.
See you laters folks! :):):)

Can't you seal the underside ?

............ having read about it on here, got told it was only for those who weren't on some sort of benefit.
I then made a comment on Nexrdoor where everyone is bellyaching about the Labour govt and calling them all sorts of names.
My comment was that I was always a bit embarrassed at getting it as we aren't short of dosh. So I kinda feel it is fair that only those who really need it get it.
Doubtless there are now a thousand wax dolls with my name on them having pins stuck in them! 🤣🤣🤣
I fully agree with you BUT I am aware that there are far too many 'dodgy' claimers of benefits that they are NOT really entitled to so I hope they go after them with equal enthusiasm - I doubt it though as that would mean putting in lots of hard work.

The problem is that many parts of the underside, particularly the edge where it rests on the flat part of the next tile, have flaked off. I have bought a sealant, paint on type, but there are many who tell you not to use it as you risk them bursting in a cold period, and TBH so far apart from this bad job lot the rest have been more or less OK.

But the ones that are not too far gone and have only lost small patches, yes, I'll be daubing the flaked off area with said stuff.
Also they are sucha pain to lift that once lifted it's better to replace them with new.

Have to say that even though it isn't finished it is already looking one heck of a lot better. :):):)

There's more people who do qualify, who do not claim, than claim fraudulently ...

the overall rate of overpayments is now 3.7% (£9.7 billion) for 2023-24, compared to 3.6% (£8.3 billion) in 2022-23. Overpayments due to fraud were 2.8% compared to 2.7% last year while claimant error and official error remained at 0.6% and 0.3% respectively. The rate of overpayments in universal credit was 12.4% in 2023-24 compared to 12.7% in 2022-23

The total rate of benefit expenditure underpaid in 2023-24 was 0.4% (£1.1 billion), compared with 0.5% (£1.2 billion) in 2022-23

The total unfulfilled eligibility rate in 2023-24 was 1.2% (£3.1 billion) compared with 1.0% (£2.3 billion) in 2022-23

We will report more on both overpayments and underpayments by way of our annual report and accounts, which are due to be published in July 2024

Gardener sent us a lot of pics today.
Of the brill work he did earlier and also of the front gravel drive.

 Shock horror, our poopy neighbours who live slightly to one side of opposite us, and hate us so much they have put up a 6 foot trellis fence along their side of the low wall that bounds our place.......
Well there are now 3 more panels so it reachers very nearly to the end of our wall.
Now we think that this part of the shared drive belongs to the opposite neighbours, the new panels aren't exactly the same height or put up so well to the fence posts and (gulp) these peeps only have existed as our neighbours extremely recently. (The house has been empty a few months, we put a card through the door, before we left, welcoming them to the street, telling them to feel free to park on our drive when we aren't there and giving them our email address. So we have never event met them, seen them spoken to them.
It is apparent from the pics that they are cramming three smallish cars onto a two car drive rather than using our place and they haven't sent us an email.

So who put the panels up and why would people who do not even know us do this? Simple, the poopy neighbours have just been and gone and done a real poop about us with them and somehow convinced them to do it. Or maybe they asked them permission to continue it on their land!

So I have sent an email to the half decent neighbours further to the right by the exit from the close asking them if they have been in contact with the new neighbours and do they know if they got our card? They may well not answer.

Hmmmm! not funny.:confused::confused::confused:
