On account of advancing age ----- and waistline----- I have squandered me pocket money on a car creeper. Luxury model with 2 x magnetic tool trays, and a LED work light on a bendy stick thing. Should make getting under the family fleet of low slung front end cars a bit easier from now on. Especially the focus which almost hugs the ground with its nose. And I need to add a couple more inches to the height of the home- made ramps. The 1970's ramps which are still in good condition, and still useable for raising the rear end, are no good at the fronts of moderns. Looking forward to sliding around under the Landy too :p

Ive had one for 20 odd years they are so good, youll enjoy it im sure.:cool:

Have to disagree with you actually, of course it is egg shaped as most cars are nowadays with weird little bumps in places, but with the roof wound back inside the boot and all the windows down it looks quite cool.
But then I think I have had time to get used to it!

But to me this View attachment 321679 looks cooler than this View attachment 321680. The base model.
This is our preferred way of driving it around View attachment 321681 Cos if you do this to it, which admittedly looks a shade cooler View attachment 321682 Then once you put the arches back on, they tend to leak.
And of course you have to store the arches at home as, as Clarkson correctly pointed out, you cannot store them in the car!

Are your eyes painted on 🤣 🤣

Well, as you'll have gathered I made a real start on the roof yessdi, sweeping and fishing out all the broken tile bits which was tedious and tricky, as well as uncomfortable. As I lifted the edge of a tile bits of the edge of it inside/underneath would fall down onto the edge of the tile below, so keeping the bits in the valleys was a drag. So shoved and swept them all down and into the gutter!
As I was going along I replaced the very worst ones, but if I just went ahead and started by replacing them lots and lots of bust off, cracked off splintered off bits of tile would end up on the wood underneath, and there are holes in that so it could end up any old where! I've done about 2/5ths of the bit I need to do and just the fragments have filled one and a half wine boxes.

I'm sure if I was a roofer I would know better ways of doing this but I am not so I don't! Where is @kevstar when you need him!?🤣🤣

Overall I am going to change 100 tiles but as 6 weigh 25kilos, I only carry 2 at a time up the ladder and of course I have to move and carry 2 off the roof as well! (Maybe I need to make myself some kind of backpack to make it easier. I have bought some stout cord and a couple of pulleys so I might be able to make up some sort of a hoist but they are a flipping awkward shape. If they wer eflat slates it'd be a sight easier!)

My left knee is complaining so doing other stuff to do with the pool today, the knee has been placed on "light duties"🤣

Have a good day folks!
:):):):)

I dont do tiled roofs only slate ones. 25k they are quite heavy so watch you dont give yourself an injury.

Got 1 too, but it keeps falling in the pit so I just use that now :p 🫣.

Evening all. Just stopped after getting home from work. Dug the air con unit out hope it will help with sleep later 😁.
Burgers for tea as I'm not cooking in the kitchen which will heat bedroom up
Had a couple of nights away last weekend and the room had one of those Dyson air mover type fans. Mrs T was most impressed with the high air flow, cool air temperature and low noise. They have one with a heating element as well which is only about 70w (they say). Good for us as we have no CH.
Not cheap, but we're probably going to take a punt. The recon ones are a bit cheaper but have the same warranty.

Got me one for the same reasons but the ickle wheels couldn't cope with nobbly bobble concrete in the alley. Praps a big sheet of ply or even lino?

Today I have mostly been plumbering in the dottir's bathroom - new sink, taps n pipes various. (did some of the work last week, now working but with a couple of finishing jobs to do).
