Got me lavender from homebase. There were 6 small ones fer 9 sovs or a pot for 6 sovs. It looked betterer condition so eye gottid that. There were also pots fer about 20 sovs. All of these were inglish purple lavender but they looked different. Thinner leafs. Some of the small ones had tall stalks wiv purple flowers at the end. Others had flowers at the end of the leafy bit. Eye fort they would all be the same but different sizes. Left it ootside over night to get rained on. It were looking a bit dry.

Yes but I went there Thurs with my friends garden rubbish
So you are limited to how many visits you can make to your dump?
That is terrible.
We are only limited to one gallon of used oil a week, no limits on garden waste and I don't think on anything else. But you can't get in if your van is sign written.
Fly tipping really must be a problem where you live.:(:(:(

Afternoon folks:).

Had a couple of drizzly days (free water to top up the pool). Ms nut squasher arrived (I stayed away;)). We have cracked walnuts left over from last year so a third of a carrier bag full gets about 750g of nuts and about 1/2 a big jar of oil:).
The filtered oil leaves stuff that can be used (yet to be tried) but it still tastes very walnutey. :)
Pulp and shells are fire lighters:).

M brought a £2 pair of nut crackers so we could each have 1, was clearly inferior quality to the 1 we have, and cracked exactly 0 nuts before I broke it🤷‍♂️.

We will be having a bumper crop this year (we always do).
Walnut salad oil lovely:)
I wonder if it would combust in an ICE🤔.

Enjoy your weekend we do everyday:).

Mornin frens. Be rennin yer, bin rennin orl naight. Dugs oat zoon, maight as well tekkum tu river, em can’t gedenny wedder!
Same 'ere, I was awakened in the early hours by a particularly torrential shower .................... and I couldn't get back to sleep. :(
That's a new one on me!!!
So I googled it to find there is a lot more to it than that. It is in fact a very traditional way of building a thatched roof over there/here! https://www.chaumiers-bougeard.com/les-faitages-pour-toitures-chaume/#:~:text=C'est ainsi que cette, pompent le surcroît d'eau.

To save anyone who wants to understand this, I'll translate the importan bit. And shorten it!

Made up of earth planted with irises and houseleek (yes, I've never heard of it either but the name seems to point something out!) after having held the crest of the roof with a bed of cement. This plante was said to prevent lightning and other forms of fire from "striking" the roof. In fact the root sustem helps keep the earth in place while the irises "pump away" excess water.

Normandy is the place that I have seen most of these roofs.

Just been the tip with grand daughters rubbish as she's moving house soon

Ok I'll come back in a bit with just ten
No he says cause you'll come again with the other one an I'll know you've been before
