Heard me biq squirrel smornin at 4.30 climbing me fence. Opened the window to drop a nut. He gorrit and left. In the last arf hour he has bin back 3 times. Drop a nut each time. He hears it but dun't always find it despite being 5 foot away. Eye drop anuvva and he gets that and leaves. Eye go oot and the first nut is obvious on me slabs. Little squirrel is too scared. He's oft as soon as eye appear at the window. Helped a squirrel oot a skip t'other day. He couldn't jump oot.
Lots of people find it quite soothing, but you do have to think about a chiming clock when you go to bed.Must confess wall clocks or grandfather clocks whilst look very nice would send me round the twist with the constant ticking
Just something that would be like torture
Went into a jewellery shop ages ago and they had 10+ clocks all ticking

We have one where you can position a piece of fishing line with a bit of metal on the end in such a way that the strikers do not hit the chimes. Or you can simply stop the clock by stopping the pendulum.
We find we can hardly hear the chimes from the hall clock when we are in bed upstairs with the door shut.
But get it if you can't stand it.

Consultant says she got all of the murderous little thing and all I’ve got left is one single cancer cell in one single lymph node. A little bit of chemo will sort that. Feeling kind of relieved! Thanks for all the good wishes, makes a big difference. Stay positive, folks. And if that Screening envelope drops on your mat, do it and return it as soon as you can!
