Been dry today and quite warm. :):):)
I made a formal complaint yessdi about my Dr's surgery.;)
This a.m. got a phone call from my doc. Nearly fell off my perch.:eek:
Nice to know my prostate isn't prostrate!!! 🤣 🤣 🤣
(I've been wanting to use those two words together for a while now!!)

I only gave the blood for the test yessdi morn and they already had the results by about 11 a.m. today. Shock horror. Looks like complaining had a good effect. I hate doing it but still...

He mentioned the word "statins" I nearly told him to wash his mouth out. 🤣

Been flipping around with plumbing.
The wretched Franke sink, being deeper than any other one we have had in the utility, and it having to have its fancy waste/overflow, the waste pipe through the wall is higher than the waste out of the sink!
I have eventually managed to work out a way of doing it involving a diagonal type pipe arrangement, without taking up too much space in the cupboard.

Anyway, sossdge plait tonight!
Yummy!:):)
Enjoy your evenings folks!

You can get trap extenders that can be put in the trap to extend the elbow part up which makes for a deeper seal trap, they come in 3 sizes 1" 2" 3".

Thanks for that.
There is no trap coming directly from under the sink, The funny Franke waste, connected to the funny Franke overflow, connects to an elbow with Franke's special thread. it is simply an elbow with a long horizontal piece so I am putting a trap in the pipework between this and the exit through the wall. I had to use it as the thread etc and the captive nut is all I have to connect to the waste. It is all in grey.

The pipe itself is a slightly small diameter and is too small for conventional "40mm" push-fit. I struggled like mad to be able to insert the inner tube of a Macalpine "40mm" compression connector, in the end I found another way of connecting it to the trap.
The only other alternative that I could think of would have been to remove the overflow and blank it off behind, it is a rectangular thing. I could then probably obtain a more conventional waste which would connect to a bottle trap and thence out to the drains. All in more normal sizes and threads. I did want to keep the overflow so I am doing what I am doing.
If I'd known you were going to pop on offering help I'd have taken pics and put them up! I still could if you want to understand what I am saying!

All good fun! And thanks for the info. :):):)

I offered a tin of pink salmon to my 3 cats last week and they all turned their noses up. So the foxes got it.
But offer them Sheba Flaked fish food selection and they will bite your hand off. LOL.
My ex and I had a cat. Flipping thing just walked in off the street. We tried to advertise it locally as we thought it had strayed. It was black so we jokingly called it "snowy", thinking it'd be gone soon.
After 7 years we split up and the ex took it, it lived till it was 20.
But when we had it it would eat cheapo cat food, no problem until one day when we realised we had run out of cat food too late to be able to buy any, so we borroed a tin off a neighbour. Whiskas. That blasted cat totally refused to eat anything else from then on. Grrrr!!!

I have had two many fights with those waste kits they over complicate things so i normally bin them and do my own setup
half the problem is the kits try and cover too many options :(

Give them their due, the overflow stuff is very flat so it can be put right to the back of the unit. But it has a curious twist in it which I at first thought was a mistake, but no, that is their weird design. And yes it did come with lots of other weird bits, some of which I used in the sink and a half in the kitchen.
I am glad you said this, I have now been able to say to W that even a pro chucks them out and starts again, with better stuff!! Seeing as how it took me 3 hours to fiddle faddle around with it this afternoon. And I had three u-bends to play with, one with an extending vertical pipe.
Cheers, mate!:)
