Wonder why yer always miss the steel toe part n get the bit before yer ankle lol
When I was a rep the blokey in the garage that dealt with the company cars, dropped a gearbox on his foot.
In exactly the same place. Steely or no steely he limped for a good long time. :( :( :(

I did once hear about a bloke involved in moving an industrial lathe off a lorry. It ended up on his feet, both of them. He was in no pain, they lifted it off him and he couldn't move.

His steelies had cut through the tarmac and left him stuck there trapped by them!! They were useful that day! 🀣🀣🀣

I am doing a little "Happy Dance" because the lathe rev-counter is working 100%.
The item bought from Amazon came in a box with "Zero/Zilch/Denada" info as to "how".
I've been struggling all day with ferrite noise suppressors etc. etc. all to no avail. :-(
Then I did a google search online and up popped an e-bay link to a similar product to mine (AC powered) but it offered 2 variants. Unshielded sensor, or "Shielded Sensor". Now I just added a shield to my sensor yesterday and it made NO difference. But, when reading this e-bay seller ad it became clear that for usage where there is possibly RFI/EMI from a VFD you should buy their shielded version and attach the sensor shield NOT TO EARTH but to the -ve terminal of the sensor connection to the tacho.

Boom! and I am a very happy man. :mexicanwave:

Nice to see it fixed. Adding ferrites effectivly puts a stop band in so yer have to calculate the range yer want to stop. Hence why it can be hit and miss. Will only work if its the correct range and if somefink in said range is causing trouble and the core can surpress it. Eye were wondering if the metal laith body were earthed as running cables close across earthed metal can help surpress noise in said cable. The seller of yer box must of had others reporting trouble. Its a shame he din't help.

Morning All. :D
Lovely night's kip really. Probably got at least 7 hours in. :)
Herself is out getting the paper and getting her Ma's meats from the butcher. :)
I am enjoying a cup of coffee and catching up on my LZ stuff.
Got kids staying over tonight and tomorrow night. :(
#2 sons wife has done him over by placing a red-flag on the mortgage which means he can't just renew at variable rate or get a new fixed term deal in July. Now he has gone self-employed he is going to struggle to prove earnings etc.
All done to force the sale of the house and get her share of equity. She doesn't care that it makes her kids (and him homeless) from the place they have lived in for so long.
Some people need culling. IMHO. :(

Have good day. :D

I agree with you. I don't often tear women down but she needs an attitude adjustment.

I have no idea what "placing a red flag" on a mortgage means.
Is she still paying her share of it?
Has she intentionally given up a job?
I hope the solicitor will have some good news on this especially if it means making the kids homeless.

I hate this business, on your behalf, reminds me of mine and mine was a lot more amicable. I really feel for him. :(:(:(:(
