When I first took up wood turning I was amazed at the speed the thing could jump out of the chuck missing my boat race and embedding itself in the ceiling.
Only happened to me once hit the corner of my ear .it was so fast I didn't or couldn't see it but had plenty of catches find it very relaxing and always a challenge as every piece of wood is different πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Was under me tratter this morning greasing the UJ which I didn't get enough grease in before xmas. UJ was in the best position to get the grease gun on so done in no time. Cleaned the surplus grease off and chucked the rags on the driveway, tidied up and went indoors. Then noticed grease on the lounge carpet - yes, there was some on the sole of me boot. And it is black graphite grease . Luckily 'er indoors is out and I managed to clean up to a satisfactory standard.

Maybe it's easier to get on with some people if you don't see them very often! I had relatives like that. The less I saw them the better they were.
Weirdly I seem to keep friendships going easier with French peeps. Maybe having to speak French to them puts filters in that I don't know are necessary for me in English. But there is more to it than that.

But I think it is just an age thing. You get to a point where you know who your real friends are and drop, or get dropped, by the ones that aren't so important to you.
