Refurbed mate, by me (the new, or rather old, nipper) and Trev the chip. Old cast iron weights, reused through using thin glass for replacement panes instead of newer, thicker, stuff. Having worked in an office for thirty years with more interesting asides with no time for I likes having hands (and brain) on. I'm doing more of what I should've stayed doing in the first place. Life just leads you away..
Have had a chat with my dottir. She wanted to be a social worker. She's kind and good at it but the workload is unfair to say the least. She's now earned her chops and can choose where to work outside social care. Similar but better. I warned her, don't get stuck doing something you're good at but don't love.Nice job on the window it looks ace. oooofft Stuck in an office for 30 years ooooft no way I could handle that.
When I was a lad just out of school I got offered a great job as a storeman in one of the big forklift company's
which I declined everyone said I was silly but I didnt want to be stuck in a storeroom.

Welcome to "Soft-Touch" Britain. We were warned by many "fascists" so long ago.Yer my misses is a social worker & top bod on the children's panel, but assaults in the work place (by kids)& horrendous work loads now she's sick of it. Think its a case of live to work & not work to live. Now most of the kids living in care are coming
from abroad with no id so she says there are grown men (with beards ect) ages 20-25 saying they are 15 and milking the system.
She's giving it up.
