Hi all!
Most of you seem to be having a good time!
The weather here has been pretty cack so not gone out as much as usual.
W opened her presents in such an order that she found the manual to the sewing machine before the foot control!
She couldn't put it down kept on reading bits out and eventually gently wondered if we'd ever find a pedal!
I kept a straight face and a couple later she opened the pedal. She had absolutely no idea! She was over the moon!! Especially when I told her that it came with a spare machine!
So now she will have one in each country!
The evening with the two cottage owners was both fun and interesting!
It has been fun making the phone work here, had to go incognito to throw off the ads. Last day here tomoz :(:(:(
Have a good one folks.
:):):):)

We are homebound today roads are flooded so we aint going anywhere, talking of flooding had more water pouring through
the living room ceiling  Found the problem..the mixer tap in the kitchen as its mains pressure its forcing the hot water back
to the tank in the loft causing it to overflow, the over flow pipe cant keep up the the flow rate of the mains pressure so yup we have a nice lit up water feature as it runs of the light
Needs a one way check valve fitted to the hot supply pipe at the tap.
A lot off new taps come with one, they were not needed years ago as the taps were designed so the hot and cold water did not mix and the cold ran round the out side of the hot in the spout so it was cold to touch.

Morning All :D
Today is my last day on this earth.............. as a 68 year old. ;)
I am still struggling to get my new lathe relocated to here, but I spoke with a really nice chap yesterday who gave me some great advice on "how" to get it up onto a pallet so that any idiot can transport it. :)
Ratchet straps are ordered, and a pallet from the stack at the bottom of my garden is being singled out for torture.
Have a great day! :D

I had read about them, thanks for the link I will pick one up tomorrow. Thinking back I replaced the kitchen tap with
a one I got free when I bought a sink. I chucked it in my plumbing box as the misses picked more expensive ones but
it got tarnished with some sort cleaning chemical. Never had an issue in the 5 years that one was fitted & the other one
I fitted a few months ago. (must be one without the valve) as you mentioned. 👍:)
