Scale is a little above one third, some parts not to scale but just so it looks right.
Little Truck is just over 10 feet long and three feet wide
Little Trailer is nine feet long plus drawbar so about eleven feet in all
I've tried to get everything in the right place on the chassis so no one can take the **** saying this or that is wrong
I've also tried to put as much detail as I can like spare wheel carrier batteries and fuel tanks
Struggling to find a large air tank to match this one below the battery box, I have old mig bottles but they're wrong for the DAF
I must be mad :D
Amazing.
I am so impressed with all this.
The tank, could it be an old LPG tank like what I have under my V8 Disco? Any LPG fitting place will have old ones kicking around that have rusted through and can no longer be used, unless he's weighed them in or summat. Scrapyards may have them.
Just a thought. I'm assuming small pub gas bottles are the wrong shape and size.

That one was from an old Tilly type gas heater, its about 5 or 6 inch diameter, I'll keep looking and sure to find something,
I used the mig bottles cut in half when I had a Scania cab on as they were right for Scania
Had to change drive wheel hubs as well so I don't get peeps saying they're wrong lol

I just love the brassneck of anyone daring to say something is "wrong" on anything that is scratch built. Cheeky sods.
If they can do better then let's see them do it.

Of course I am a bit biased as in the kit car world we build replicas all the time, but it is easier cos they are full size.

Lots of peeps have no idea. Like the ones who ask W if her Speedster is original or a "real" one. What? right hand drive? With wind -up windows?

Some builders even put 6 cylinder Porsche engines in their Speedsters. Must go like the proverbial, but they'd have to really change the suspension to make it safe, and the brakes. The wife's does have discs on the front but no servo. Which is right as in a light vehicle like a kit a servo locks the brakes up too easily, as happens in my Marlin.

But I diverge. Do you need CampinGAZ type bottles? They come in various sizes and can often be found on the bay.

Liking the camping Gaz idea, bottles a bit short but could place them do you only see the ends
I'll take the Speedster please, when you get tired of it :D

I'm starting to get freelander fever 😂😂
