Planning it soon?

We moved here when our Parents were healthy, my parents moved us to Suffolk when Mums parents where still healthy. Didnt stop us (3kids) from seeing Nanny.
I can not fault the healthcare they get where they are.

Rock and a hard place right now for you:(.

We had the same discussion before we moved up here.
She goes and visits her mum every month.
The grandkids followed us :)
We are 30 miniutes from a city and major hospital.
This is the only valid reason, there are 4 widows in the village that we know of!

I moved and lived for 34 years where I didn't know anybody etc. It was my turn to choose!
 
It's funny that people think about access to healthcare in deciding where to live. When I'm old and frail I'm not expecting there to be much left. The NHS is excellent at transferring money from the public purse to a variety of entrepreneurs, investors and private contractors, but whether anyone will come round and change my incontinence pad or cut my corns in ten years time when I need it is more doubtful.
 
Chemist took a lot at our paperwork and said quite simply, "There is nothing wrong with thism they should have reimbursed you." As we knew.
He has just printed off copies of the original prescription. The communication from CPAM went to the UK as that is the formal address on W's "dossier".
This isn't the first time the Frogs have used us not being in the country, or so they think, to try and fob us off with not reimbursing what they should. I'll be taking it up in person with someone in a CPAM office, hopefully. Getting an appointment is like trying to get one with a GP in the UK. To think you just used to walk into the building, take a number and sit down. Oh no "Now it much easier with this APP.

Bracket should be strong enough to hold caliper in place, it's 3/8 steel

If we were to live near the grandkids we 'd have to live on an island in Western Scotland, in Wales, in Lincolnshire, in the New Forest, and in St Germain en Laye. and if we wanted to see the middle daughter more we'd also have to live in Worcestershire.
Of the 6 we only see 4 of them anything like regularly, if you can call once a year regularly for the 2 in France.

When the other half pops their clogs surely that is the time to move to wherever you choose? More difficult if you and he/she were renting, but still not impossible.

No because then I wouldn't get to choose! I will be long in the grave before she curls up her toes :)
Since we moved here she has grown to love the place and wouldn't move back even if I pop me clogs any time soon.
Oh and we own this place with no mortgage and owe nowt to anyone :)
