All sorts of carp. It comes through the l;ittle holes in the voer designed to stop it bending the aluminium poles when it rains.

What is that of what you speak? The fing like a net on the end of the pole? Blow that, that is what the "skimmer " is for, you know, the hole at the end of the pool that sucks the surface water in and cleans it for you?

yes but , no but, we've been over this, CBA!;)

We have always done this otherwise yep, it'd lose all heat gained during the day. Plus legally we have to cover it in case some drunken scrote gets on our land, falls in and drouwnds hisself.

I think, once I've got it sorted it is going to be a case of, if not in it cover it with the bubble wrap, then put the safety cover over it at night.

and much appreciated. Better than joining a "pool forum".:eek::eek:
If some scrote falls in our pool he was trespassing.

Must be a country difference thing.
In France as soon as you buy a piece of land you have to take out two forms of public liability insurance.
One in case someone trespasses on your land and then hurts themself.
The other in case somehow you pollute someone else's land from yours. :stars: :stars: :stars: :stars: :stars:

Just as all French cars have to be insured even if they are taken off the road and, as far as I have been told, in bits being restored.

Lots of peeps die in French pools so the law is there to protect them. You either have to make it difficult for people to fall in, so a cover that can take two people's weight.
Or a fence with a locked gate.
Or, and this is the stupidest one, with a pool alarm although no one needs to be anywhere near to hear it.

Every summer we read of cases, usually kids, who wonder away from the rest of a party, fall or jump in and drown.

You will be surprised how much the bubble wrap cover would/will support.

rant /
I am a bit "concerned".
I am being emotionally blackmailed by "her indoors" to go and attend to her mothers garden with a hedge-trimmer.
The thing is... she has a son that goes there every sodding Sunday to dip his hand into his Mum's purse and eat a good meal and take meat home for himself to cook. So...why the FCUK isn't he doing it?

Oh, I forget, he's disabled (aka terminally lazy).

So, I need a skip on her drive and willing helpers because I aint as young as I was either. But.............

The grand-kids all espouse the mantra "we must take care of gran" but are never there to be seen when $hit gets serious.
It really boils my pi$$.

I don't like being manipulated while some scrounging fecker sits on the side-lines. /rant.

Then say maybe you should suggest that to your neices and nephews. I have more to worry about going on with our son.

Its stinking hot here, I wanna go to bed, but I have to lock the hens up first. Wish it could be done remotely.
Too often one of the little things gets out and then can't get back into the enclosure.
Need a load more pegs.
Grrr!
When we had a few hens we had an automatic open/closing pophole door (dawn to dusk) so we didn't have to do anything. It was amazing how quickly they learned how to be in on time - or get locked out! :) That only happened once and she hid under the hedge waiting for me to come back in with the car. irc it was german made and we got the address out of the Smallholder magazine.

Yes, he was on the phone tonight. He is seeing the Soli tomorrow. It's all horrible for him and he is in despair. I don't know how to help him any more than say "there, there". :(
Not much solace, but there is an end to it all. Be patient, wait and see (absolutrly do not be pressed) do what is right, though might not be easy. The last ten years have taught me a lot about myself and other peeps. Best wishes to 'Danclan'.
