It's strange others that we know that are away from their property for long periods especially over winter are always complaining about washers breaking down could be that thay deform when there is no pressure in the system
I'd agree with that except that the ones in the Uk don't do it and we leave them alone and with the pressure off for 6 months too. Maybe the older ones were made of sterner stuff! (Or the pressure is less anyway, of course!)
But interesting to know we ain't the only ones.
Ta for that!

EPDM is the current preferred..
Better temp range.

Eye fink rubber washers last longerer if exercised occasionally. Not using a tap for a while keeps constant pressure on them. Seems to make them split sooner.

A lovely day has dawned so it is full speed ahead - empty everything out of the MoHo and then clean it inside - forget the outside! Thursday is the day for the first annual habitation check at the dealers and they insist it is all clear for them to work on. I am not looking forward to doing it 'cos I know that I have got a lot of 'stuff' to move. :)

Enjoy your weekend one and all and I hope it is going to be more enjoyable than mine! :):):)

Mornin all.
Very wet yesdi which washed all my enthusiasm for anything straight down the plughole. One good thing though was that I have cured the leak through the windscreen block, I think. Just a weep coming through the bulkhead to locate now :)

Herself is out with her dottir this evening, so i has pizza, beer and a John Wickathon lined up.

Looking brighter out, best get cracking. Big jobs are best tackled piecemeal I find @derwendolly :)

Eye is eating me brekfust. Washers playing wiv me socks. Emptying one of me water butts because they is all fulled. Ma hippo's asleep in the garage. Edgars watching the sun hide behind the clouds. Burds is tweeting. If eye could afford to retire eye wood. Nooker world championship starts today.
