... that my lad withthe unfaithful wife has had an interesting morning which has included a visit from the police.
His EX pitched up on his doorstep with their son and used the son as a battering ram to push her way through the opened front door.
She then started making a number of wild demands and then sat in the middle of the kitchen floor and refused to leave.
She then decided that she would call the police. They came, my son let them in and they spoke to both parties separately and then told HER she had to leave.
They asked my son if he wanted to press charges, he said no. He asked if this incident would be recorded, they said yes.
We all think she is out of her gourd and the kids are potentially at risk and the police hinted that the kids could be interviewed to determine if they were at risk when with their mother.
Pretty scary TBH, we dread to think what she might do. Finale was she wanted to hug my son and kept sayng "I'm so sorry" over & over.
She needs sectioning I think.
I agree it sounds like she has lost the plot. I feel for you my friend, you and your family can hardly catch a break :(

...finally... after 4 attempts to elicit a response from them I finally get my private MRI scan booked for this Sunday @11:40. :D
So much for private medicine being more efficient. :( A ruddy nightmare with call-back promises not kept etc. etc.
Cheaper than I thought it would be (£300). :)

Have to agree with your last comment.
From what you have been saying about her ever since this kicked off it is obvious that she doesn't know what she wants from one week to the next, or maybe even more frequently.
Does she take drugs or large amounts of prescription medication?
Such erratic behaviour doesn't sound very normal to me and at the very least she should be examined with a view to determining whether she is safe to be a fit mother. Calling the police for no reason is anot a sign of normal behaviour.
So, so sorry to hear all this. and do hope some resolution is forthcoming in the reasonably near future.
:(:(:(

I'm really glad you have finally got one.
We too were forced to do this once and paid roughly the same.
I think some of the problems with getting one may be down to the fact that the NHS are prolly using the same scanner. The reason we paid for one was that we were up against time restraints as going away and the only way to do it was to do what you have done. but it was thwe same scanner manned by the same peeps!
Anyway, best of luck with whatever it shows, and with the situation ongoing.
You have a lot on your plate and need a change of luck.;):):):)

Anyway.......
Hi gang!
Have been very busy today, w and I formed a team to clear out half of the garage to eventually put her Speedster in it to stop it deteriorating still further. (The slam of the stable door being bolted will be heard as far as Southampton.)
So we has a session of "this can be thrown out, no your not keeping that, what on earth is that for, we'll never need that, " etc etc etc. We got a lot of it clear. Much stored in the trailer that we emptied last spring to try and sell it.
She also dropped the bombshell that our middle daughter and her husband are coming for the next weekend but one. I want to capitalise on this by getting his help with placing a very heavy bit of worktop in position in the utility I am doing up. didn't realise they'd be coming that soon.
Clearing out the garage is grand as it means I'll have enough room to winch, (yes seriously!) the worktop into position to cut it down and to shape to be able to fit it. (It is a fierce heavy number!)
I have yet to get two old Discos into a state to be able to start and move them as well as said flipping Speedster. So I have lots of batts, most of which are pretty dead, on charge! Speedster hasn't started for two years. Petrol/lpg Disco started last year but 300tdii hasn't started for donks!
These are either blocking the garage or have to be driven into the garage.
We rushed to clear up as rain was expected. It did come but only a few drops.:mad::mad:
Put the back seat in the Disco too. did this first thing. I may have done my back no good at all doing it as it is a heavy awkward beggar. But still it is in and folded forward so we could fill the rest with stuff for the dump and scrap metal which we'll weigh in. I have an overdrive gearbox for a Dolomite Sprint that I bought off a mate years ago with the intention of putting it into a kit car. This must have been 25 years ago. Didn't store it very well and the output flange won't budge, so it's prolly going for scrap too. Shame as some Triumph lover might want it.
So having a beer now before feeding the doggies and us!
Enjoy the rest of your day folks!
:):):)

Garage re-roof job is making (slow) progress. Pic 1 shows the steel channel which was supporting the original joists which ran the length of the roof. The new joists run across the garage so it is a bit tricky removing the old before fitting the new as they clash. A new temporary joist is holding the old joists up which allows partial removal of the old roof. Pic 2 shows the channel removed this morning, and the penetration through the brickwork altered to accept a new joist.

Looking good, can you come around and sort my conservatory roof when you have finished? :D

Youngest dottir n her hubby are in the process of buying a bung just outside of Lincoln. Needs a lot of modernising (as did ours when we bought it seven years ago). I've nearly finished mine, so I guess I'm fully booked for the foreseeable future . But her hubby is keen and shows enthusiasm to improve his DIY. So my input will be mostly pointing him in the right direction, should be able to help with your roof in about 2028. If I'm still on the right side of the grass :D

They are also making a bespoke head for a Merc engine for some rich bugger I'm told, should be very interesting.
