Well I'm back in, obvs.
The place that is supposed to process and wrap your return didn't have any wrapping stuff, so I'm glad I took it there in the original but opened packaging. The burd stuck sealootape on it:rolleyes:
Posted a letter to France, grrr, as I cannot open an account on their equivalent of the HMRC website without actooly being there to get myself identified. Despite having paid taxes since 2008, re-grrr!
Then filled up with doosel. 80 litres at £1.709 /litre.:eek::eek:
Then checked the mpg. 24.3 mpg.:(:(:(:(
Ye gods.
Most of that being the dreadful journey home from the Dales and a bit of running around.
And I feel it (D2 TD5 auto) is driving better'n ever.:(:(:(
Off to get into working togs and back on the tiling.
Enjoy the rest of your day folks!
:):):):)

Took the dog out at dawn this morning, just about when the Robins wake up and start shouting at their neighbours. One landed just a few feet away in a hawthorn and ignored me while doing his bit, I could only just make out the red. Was very pleasant. Pays to look up sometimes :)

We have had some Jays shouting their heads off arguing with each other last couple of days. The lack of real winter seems to have confused them as to what time of year it really is:confused:.

Afternoon folks:).

Well woke up this morning and yesterdays effort of white stuff from the sky turned into nothing:), But its cold.
House had definitely dropped temps so kicked fire and stacked with sticks.

Must try harder to get out of this winter hibernation mode, its just an excuse to be lazy:(.

I don't like the dark winter months, it's just damp and miserable. Can't even get out into the garage to do stuff

Reached the heady heights of 400 contacts :)

...I saw the back-cracker and he thinks my neck problems & pain are the result of "tension/stress" and muscles locking up.
But by golly did he give my neck a real wrench and "crack" today.
So, he has recommended that I also see a Sports Therapist for a massage (Ker-ching £££).
I will give it a go.
Best of luck mate. It hopefully will be dosh well spent.;):)

Well today had its moment.
It was when I finished doing my bit of tiling and had just cleaned tools up and stood back to look at it.
Then I realised I had made a mistake with the first tile I put on.:mad:
I was going round a corner and somehow managed to put half a brick sized tile next to a whole one on the other wall.
Then I carried on regardless, cutting mitres as I went cos it was the side of a bit of trunking that is annoyingly just a bit bigger than one tile.
So as they are staggered some of the bits that needed mitring were tiny, well the first one was until I had the sense to cut the mitre first then shorten the rest for the others.
So I swore rather a lot cos I thought it would take a lot of destruction and making good to correct it and the tendency was to just say "**** it".
But no, I can't do that, so I tried the first tile I could get to on the bottom row to see if it was well stuck on and happily it wasn't, so they were all taken off, the wall scraped down, the backs of the tiles scraped off and all is ready for me to reattach tomoz, in the right order this time. Just hope the wall is straight enough for me to be able to reuse the cut ones.

What an eejit I am:mad: . Never done this before. I think I am getting senile.:(:(:(
Have a good evening folks!:):):)
