Don't give them a price mate, walk away telling her you have a lot of jobs on at the moment, that this (the road) was unexpected and you'll get back to them when you have a "window". ;)
(and once she's feckin paid you!!);)
Do not envy you any at all workin in Passchendaele:(:(:(

No way im doing it this year haha
Trouble is I know the chap half way up the road as I done his roof last year, they are all chipping
in to get it done.

Its deffo some sort of lime green o_O
Lime green?
not coming round yours for a Daiquiri!!!
More like Snot Green as made famous in the opening chapter of Ulysses by James Joyce, "the snot green, scrotum-tightening sea".
(The book sounds more exciting than it is, stream of conscientiousness (bollix) trip round Dublin that could only ever be understood by a Dubliner.) Have yet to finish it. Like swimming through sewage. Dive in, don't open your eyes or mouth and come up for air as often as you can. Famous book among the nobs. so they tell me!):D:D:D

Oh dear! a private road. urghhh!:eek::eek:
My ex s-i-l and his Dad both live on a long unadopted, tarmac road. Some of the neighbours are good, some are OK and some are absolute sh!te. All the houses are worth a fortune and on big plots. But when it comes to repairing potholes, putting in sleeping policemen to slow down those who treat it as a rat run etc., it is a feckin nightmare. One year these two did the whole road themselves. Trying to get money off those who lived there was awful and in the end they actually got abuse from those who refused to pay up but still drove up and down the road every day.:mad::mad:
So if your peeps all agree and come up with the money up front, you'll be doing well!;)

It is worth noting that your quote is from a company touting for custom!

It also said 'do not put your laptop into rice' - I agree BUT I suggest that putting some rice grains into the laptop is rather different from putting the laptop into the rice.
Putting a few grains into your salt pot stops the moisture ruining the salt, too - handy when leaving a caravan/MH over winter.:)

And when it's done it's job you'll have a nice little snack.. :)

Speed bumps just make people rev and brake more, should be banned

You just don't want rice in the moving parts like the fan, blocking vents etc
