I am about to venture into the loft at Wimblowdriver Towers to search for my camping stove. In preparation for this winters power cuts. I half recall lending it to dottir and can't remember getting it back though. Got plenty of candles, thermals n jumpers, just need something to make a cuppa and heat a can of soop or two.
Update: It ain't in the loft in the box marked "camping stove". So I will have to buy another one.
See if go outdoors has something cheap. It's a cross between millets and shoplifting.

Is my wedding anniversary this Friday.
Apparently the 6th is 'iron'
Do you think the wife would like a new one? o_O

We slung our stove thing a while back. It was originally bought by my parents when I was a small kid so about 60 years ago. The two burners were mounted on top of the Campinggaz cylinder. Can't even find a pic of it ont tinernet. But kept the GAZ cylinder. Left it in Frogland though. Was going to buy a more modern brief case style burner thing. Think we'll just fill thermoses. Or use the genny!
Then of course we do have the old barbie that we haven't used in donks, :D:D:D
We also have loads of candles and three old style oil lamps, the ones with glass chimneys that cowboys always used the throw to start a fire!
Oh and two Tilley lamps. (Must buy some paraffin and yet another jerrycan!)

Just remembered that W had a briefcase style camping stove that we used at car shows.
Just asked her where it went. She told me it "went" once we decided we wouldn't be going to any more shows.:( (They were kit car shows when i ran the club.)
I think this may have been before we got into Landies. ;)
I use mine to cook outside in the summer when it gets too hot.

Afternoon folks:).

Not much accomplished today if I am honest, but I have been busy achieving it:rolleyes::D.
The last trailer has be MOTed and good to go, Got pulled for a doc check in the fender, I am sure they just do it cos they is jellyos and want a look of our little 90, they run a bog standard 110, and they know us by now:rolleyes:.

What I don't understand is why do wimmins appreciate items that have no practical value whats so ever:rolleyes:.

Tis a funny thing.
Buy a man a tool, especially one that he really wants, and he'll love her. :)
Buy a woman a really fantastic piece of kit, like an air-fryer or a fancy coffee machine, and she will throw it at you for not being "romantic" and just being something they both will benefit from.:(:(
Mind you, if W bought me diamonds I'd just flog em!!:eek:

We have 1 of them and it goes with us if we plan a drive back to the uk, when we stop for fuel it makes a nice cuppa or bacon butty. Great little things:).

If you mean one like this:
532534

We always had one in the back of the Disco when we did MSA recovery and as you say, coffee, tea and bacon butties.
Great and quite economical. :):):)
(We spent a lot of time just waiting around!;) In an ideal event we never got bothered!)

Yep eggactly, but without the halfords sticker oh and its not blue either:D. Black bit turns over and it all goes in a little plastic "briefcase" type thing and stows neatly.

We have used it for cooking prawns for a starter at the table on a cast iron flat plate while waiting for the BBQ to cook mains:).
